About Jocelyn

I've been fascinated by most things for as long as I can recall—always curious and ready to learn more about the layers of who we are, how we are, and the ways we perceive the world. My intention as a psychotherapist is to come to our relationship full of respect, presence, and curiosity. It is a high honor to collaborate with people as they navigate life, with all its pangs, pleasures, and plateaus.

Over twenty years ago, I began a career in massage and structural therapy and spent a decade working to help folks feel better in their bodies. I've also been a student of meditation for over fifteen years, which influences many layers of how I show up to the relationship and process of therapy. I am a life-long student and am currently studying modern analytic psychotherapy and group process.

I am LGBTQIA affirmative, transformative justice oriented, and I collaborate with the fine folks at Holistic Resistance for relational-based anti-racism mentorship.

I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and post-graduate certificates in Expressive Arts Therapy and Systemic Multicultural Counseling. In 2017, I served as clinical intern at Our VOICE, where I provided individual and group counseling to primary and secondary survivors of sexual violence. I am an LCMHC in North Carolina, #14167.
