Depth Oriented Psychodynamic Therapy
Therapy is an active process of personal growth and deep emotional healing. I specialize in working with adults with a wide range of issues, including complex trauma, grief, spirituality, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. More and more, I find I am working with those who are sensitive to - and feel the pain of - being alive during such uncertain times on this planet.
Life is complex
There are many layers to who you are and many reasons you may struggle to connect to yourself, to others, and to the world. I am trained in careful listening and it is my honor to witness you as you are, and as you change. I’ll encourage you to pay attention to what you feel both in and out of session, and to practice putting your thoughts and feelings into words. We’ll gradually start to map your inner landscape, locate what feels chaotic, and contact what feels true for you. I’m devoted to helping you remember and experience your inherent worth, intelligence, and aliveness.
I'm comfortable talking about uncomfortable things
I offer a space where you're welcome to talk about—and question—anything. My presence is compassionate and focused. With a background in somatic work and expressive arts therapy, I can encourage you to express yourself in imaginative ways, especially if you're feeling stuck and want to try something new.
“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield.
As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard.
This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.” ― Lao Tzu
